Andrea Carando is an AIGUPP-certified fishing guide based in North-West Italy, guiding in the regions of Piedmont and Liguria. His connection to fishing started at a very young age, watching anglers along canals as a child. At the age of seven he held his first rod, and since then fishing has become a central part of his life. With over 20 years of experience on rivers like the Sesia and its tributaries, Andrea offers more than just guided fishing. He focuses on creating a real connection with the river, combining technical skill with a deep respect for nature. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced angler, a day with Andrea is about discovering wild waters, learning new techniques, and enjoying the experience to the fullest. His philosophy is strongly rooted in catch and release and conservation. Andrea is actively involved in protecting the endangered marble trout and works closely with environmental initiatives. With a background as a qualified chemist, he also contributes to water protection efforts, bringing an extra level of knowledge and awareness to his guiding. Our Specialties Fly Fishing & Trophy Streamer Fishing Fly fishing is at the absolute heart of what we do. While we cover every aspect of the discipline, our true signature is streamer fishing for trophy Marble Trout (Salmo marmoratus). Hunting the legendary apex predator of our waters requires strategy, endurance, and precise presentation. We guide you through casting heavy streamers into deep pools, reading the current, and triggering explosive strikes from large, wild Marble Trout. Dry-Fly Fishing For lovers of visual and classic fly fishing, nothing beats the excitement of a wild trout breaking the surface. We target active feeding lanes during peak insect hatches, helping you master delicate presentations, micro-drag management, and pattern selection to fool wary trout and grayling in crystal-clear alpine waters. Spinning Fishing For those who prefer light or heavy lure techniques, our spinning sessions offer fast-paced action and high precision. Using specialized hardware, hard baits, and soft lures, we target aggressive river predators along undercut banks, deep pockets, and turbulent rapids. Guiding Beginners & Experienced Anglers For Beginners: We provide step-by-step coaching on casting mechanics, river safety, gear setup, and reading the water, ensuring a rewarding and confidence-building introduction to the sport. For Seasoned Anglers: We skip the basics and take you straight to prime, technical beats. We act as your tactical partner, handling logistics, fly selection, and local insight so you can focus entirely on challenging fish. Authentic Experiences & Conservation First We believe that a great day of fishing goes beyond the catch. All our guiding operates on a strict Catch & Release philosophy with barbless hooks to protect wild native populations. We pride ourselves on offering authentic immersion into pristine river ecosystems, combining technical angling with a profound respect for nature. torrente-pesca-mosca-piemonte

Perfect for trout fishing in streams, allowing precise casts even in tight spaces. Cast a light artificial lure upstream or across and retrieve it following or resisting the current.
One of the most typical techniques in fast-flowing streams, ideal for crystal-clear waters and wary predators. A lightweight artificial fly is cast so it lands gently on the water surface.
A very effective technique for trout and small local predators. Live or natural baits are threaded on light hooks, allowing the current to carry them naturally.
