Guide Rules
Guide Rules
By publishing experiences on Fish Your Dream, each guide agrees to follow these standards for service quality, safety, pricing and customer communication.
Last updated: April 2026
1
Professional requirements
- You must operate in compliance with all licences, permits, qualifications and insurance required by applicable law.
- Documents uploaded to the platform must be authentic, current and aligned with the services you provide.
- The platform may request additional checks or suspend visibility if suitability or compliance is unclear.
2
Listing quality and availability
- Title, description, duration, capacity, fishing area, photos and conditions must accurately reflect what the customer is buying.
- Your calendar must stay up to date; inaccurate or unmanaged availability may trigger admin intervention.
- Onboarding and approval cannot be completed without at least one properly configured, sale-ready experience.
3
Safety, waivers and trip management
- Before departure, ensure that safety briefing, equipment and required documentation are in place.
- When needed, customer waivers must be handled through the platform or uploaded by the guide if collected offline.
- You are expected to stop, postpone or scale down a trip if weather, vessel conditions or customer behaviour make it unsafe.
4
Pricing, fees and payments
- The price entered by the guide is the guide net; the platform adds the customer service fee separately.
- Direct payments, off-platform deposits or attempts to bypass the authorised checkout are not allowed.
- Discounts, exceptions and commercial adjustments must remain traceable and consistent with platform tools.
5
Communication and conduct
- Reply promptly and keep communication professional, clear and respectful.
- Do not share personal contact details to bypass the platform before the booking flow allows it.
- Reviews, disputes and support issues must be handled without pressure, aggression or misleading promises.
6
Violations and moderation
- Validated complaints, improper cancellations, no-shows, misleading content or safety issues may result in suspension or removal.
- Reactivation is not automatic and may require manual review, listing fixes and document checks.
- Fish Your Dream may limit, suspend or close guide accounts to protect customers, marketplace trust and operational compliance.
These rules exist to keep experiences safe, bookable and aligned with what customers see on the platform.
